Peer assessment- Feedback

When discussing my work with peers whilst at a start-midpoint of my piece, we talked a bit about the room and the colours that I had used so far in the white void type space in the background. My peers agreed that it seemed to work more successfully adding a range of colours into the white of the background and the expressive techniques I was using at this stage with my brush strokes. They thought that an atmosphere could be felt through these colours and paint techniques, as though the emotions of the people featured can be read up in the air in the room around them, which is what I hoped to express.

In my feedback they also said that my piece was really interesting due to the fact that the message wasn’t too obvious at first, allowing the viewer to interpret and make their own assumptions, questioning it, but the concept still easy enough to grasp an understand.
